Lisa Chen – Artist, Honorary President of the Federation of Art Societies Singapore

Lisa Chen, the founder of MING LIU ART, is a professional Art Curator, Collector, and Artist.

Born in Shanghai, China in 1969, she studied at Nanjing University from 1988 to 1992 majoring in Business Administration.

Lisa continued to pursue further study at the Renmin University of China and the University of Wales (UK) and obtained a Master in Arts Management and EMBA in year 2000.

Art Journey

After graduation, Lisa was actively engaged in art creation, appreciation, and many art promotional activities.

In 2000, she was appointed as the Executive of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Association and founded Ming Liu Art.

In 2005, she moved to Singapore and studied at the NAFA for Western Oil Painting. She participated in annual exhibitions organized by various art groups and exchange exhibitions at home and abroad.

While working on art creation, she was committed to promoting international art exchange activities in the Asia-Pacific region. She has curated and hosted large-scale exhibitions many times.

She has successfully represented well-known local artists, including Chua Mia Tee, Fan Chang Tien (late), Thang Kiang How, Koeh Sia Yong, Tan Kian Por, Koh Mun Hong, Lim Kay Hiong, Nai Swee Leng, Leo Hee Tong, Stephen Leong Chun Hong, and Ren Jianhui.

Since 2018, she has been the curator of Fan Chang Tien’s “Asia Tour” exhibitions.

Lisa was appointed Honorary President of the Federation of Art Societies Singapore in Oct 2021. With this honor, she is inspired to continue promoting the creativity and beauty of Art both at home and abroad, bringing exciting opportunities to art lovers and artists.
